About the Program

The Dads of Great Students WATCH D.O.G.S. program is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement organizations designed and developed by educators, experts and parent & guardian volunteers over more than two decades.

By taking time to come to campus and serve the students and teachers, Dads demonstrate that education is important. A male role model can positively impact a student’s life in three critical areas: academic performance, self-esteem, social behavior

Post COVID, a group of Dads of Whittier Elementary students got together to reintroduce this program at Whittier as a way of connecting with their children, helping support the staff and make a difference in the students lives.
